Caterham’s Wingate named 11th in FTAdviser’s Top 100 Financial Advisers list
The Caterham-based financial advice firm, Wingate, has been ranked 11th in the list of the 2018 top 100 financial advisers in the UK.
Issued by the Financial Times publication, FT Adviser, the list of the UK’s very best financial advisers ranks firms using a combination of factors to reflect the qualities that investors seek when looking for the best firms to help them with their finances.

Investment performance
For the past five years, the FT Adviser list had been based purely on gross sales using data from their research partner Strategic Insight but this year saw them take a more rounded approach.
The 2018 ranking considers the growth rate of firms, the number of years experience the business has in managing assets in different economic environments and how highly qualified the advisers are. It also reflects the firms’ client retention and performance of the investments funds they recommend.
The annual list is considered by many to be the most comprehensive ranking of financial advisers currently operating in the UK based on what investors care about.
Located at Quadrant House on Croydon Road, Wingate provides personal financial planning advice as well as consultancy services to companies on their pension, protection and employee wellbeing benefits.
The ‘Wingate’ brand identity launched in 2002 – the same year the office moved from Oxted to Caterham Valley – having grown from a division of an insurance broker originally.
