Easter in the Valley
Easter is a special time of year when families come together to celebrate the arrival of Spring and the joy of new beginnings. If you’re looking for fun and family-friendly activities to do in Caterham Valley over the Easter holidays, then look no further! There are plenty of exciting things to do that are sure to delight all ages. Here are our top 5 Easter activities in the Valley:
Caterham Valley Easter Trail – Thursday 6th & Saturday 8th April
One very popular event to attend is our very own free Easter Trail! This year we will be hopping over to Easter Farm to help Mr & Mrs Easter count all the babies that have been born. Easter bunny has hidden some eggs around the farm as well, and there is also a quiz to test your knowledge. Little farm hands will receive a special reward for completing the trail. The trail will be running on Thursday 6th and Saturday 8th April from 11am to 4pm, and is free to all.
Easter Fun at The Beach
The Beach is Caterham Valley’s ever-popular soft play, cafe and children’s centre. Grace and her team will be open every day over the holidays, and they will be hosting a variety of activities next week such as Easter cupcake decorating and an Easter Party. Visit their website for more information and to book your tickets. Be quick – you won’t want to miss out!
Historic Town Trail & Rural Life at East Surrey Museum
East Surrey Museum, located on the corner of Stafford Road, will also be hosting children’s Easter activities across the holidays. Admission to the museum is free, but donations are appreciated to help keep the museum running. They are currently hosting an exhibition about rural life in East Surrey and how our ancestors lived, dating back to the Victorian period. If you are looking for extra outdoor activities to do, why not visit their website and download their historic sites Town Trail Guide and map, which starts just near Queen’s Park.
Easter Eggstravaganza – Saturday 8th April
Alongside our annual trail, Church Walk will be running an Easter Eggstravaganza on Saturday, 8th April from 11am to 3pm. Why not get your little ones faces painted like the Easter Bunny before heading out on the Easter Trail! There will also be live music, an Easter bonnet parade (and a prize for the best hat!) and the chance to decorate an egg that can be taken home afterwards.
Easter Services at St John’s Church
Finally, St John’s Church will be hosting a series of Easter Services suitable for a variety of ages, such as “Much with Music” on Wednesday, where you can take along your own food and enjoy the performance. Everyone is welcome!
Whether you are hunting for eggs, counting baby animals or making Easter Bonnets this Easter break, we hope you all have fun and remember to tag us in your Springtime selfies!
