Florence Fortley toasts first anniversary
Caterham homeware specialist Florence Fortley is planning a day of celebration to mark 12 months’ successful trading in the town.
Based in Godstone Road, the popular store – which sells and array of on-trend design pieces including everything from wallpaper and fabrics to diffusers and doggie-wear – is offering all customers 10 % discount on purchases made during June 30th. Not only that, but the shop will be open from 10am to 9pm and there will be a glass of fizz awaiting you too.
Owner Sally Brady said: “We wanted to mark our one-year anniversary and this seemed like a good way of thanking our existing customers and welcoming new ones.”
As well as the in-store events, Sally is also planning to launch an interior design service to enable those in Caterham and beyond to benefit from her considerable design experience. With more than 20 years as a home stylist under her belt, Sally is looking forward to sharing her knowledge with those looking to decorate or restyle their homes.
“I am always happy to offer tips to people in the shop and I thought this was the perfect time to extend it and offer a full interior design service,” Sally explained.
So, with that in mind, what trends does she think we should we be looking out for this summer?
“Everything has gone maximalist,” she said. “Pale greys are out – this season is all about golds, clashing colours. Patterns are big and bold whether you are looking wall paper, cushions or candles.”
