Tune in to Ridge Radio, your local community station that’s been at the heart of Caterham since April 1st, 2011. We’ve come a long way from our humble beginnings in a custom-built studio near the ARC Caterham on the Hill, and now proudly broadcast from our permanent home at Soper Hall, Caterham Valley. Public figure Sam Gyimah launched the station, and our first presenter, Bob Angel, was soon followed by Chris Medhurst and our chairman Matthew Baker, who still bring their passion to the airwaves today.
Ridge Radio is truly a community creation, made possible by the hard work and dedication of local heroes, including Councillor Sally Marks, Mark Jones, Dave Roberts, Ed Ralph, and the late John Orrick and Andy Mac. We’re more than just a station – we’re a platform for local voices, news, and music, a space where the community connects. Whether it’s fresh tunes, engaging shows, or staying updated with local events, Ridge Radio has something for everyone.
