Caterham Valley’s Christmas Spectacular
If you’re in the mood for some Christmas magic, there’s one place you need to be this December…Caterham Valley! Mark your calendar for Saturday 7 December, from 1pm to 6pm as the town transforms with festive activities, entertainment and surprises.
Morrisons have kindly extended parking hours in the Morrisons car park allowing you to park between 1-6pm free of charge (without the usual 3hr restriction) so that you can enjoy all the festivities across the afternoon.

The Glitter Belles | 2.30pm, 4pm and 5.30pm – SUBJECT TO CHANGE DUE TO THE WEATHER
Keep an eye out for the fabulous Glitter Belles as they sparkle through Caterham Valley. These wonderful stilt walking, sculptural creations, blend 1970s disco with avant-garde fashion and are designed to dazzle. Get ready for a show-stopping spectacle!
Christmas Trail | 1pm – 4pm – SUBJECT TO CHANGE DUE TO THE WEATHER
Follow a group of young explorers on their journey to the North Pole with our festive Christmas Trail. Help find all the hidden Bells among the festive windows and be in with a chance of winning a prize. Start by picking up your map at Church Walk Shopping Centre, where Mrs. Claus and her helpful Elf will give you all the details.
Christmas Party | 1.30pm – 5pm
After completing the Christmas Trail, you are invited to celebrate at the end-of-trail Christmas Party – hosted by St John’s Church. Join them for some fun Christmas tunes, games and a visit from Santa.
Live Singer Performances | 1pm – 6pm
Catch the talented Simon Dixon as he brings live music to various spots around town, filling the air with festive tunes and Christmas classics to sing along to.
Christmas Drinks and Festive Snacks | 1pm – 5pm
What’s Christmas without delicious treats? Visit the team at JJ Browne & Son for festive snacks and drinks to warm your spirits.
Face Painting Party | 2pm – 4pm
Hosted by Shard Solutions, kids can get in the festive spirit with a fun Face Painting Party. Choose from a variety of designs, from reindeer and snowflakes to Santa’s helpers. It’s a great way to bring some extra magic to the day.
Glitter Party | 4pm – 6pm
Come and get your Christmas sparkle on at Time Hair & Beauty. Book your 10 minute slot for a face and hair glitter explosion via the online booking system only. Select “Face & Hair Glitter” when booking. Hair must be clean and styled in your chosen style ready for their team to work their Christmas magic. Bookings are free but they ask for a small donation for their chosen charity, The Little Princess Trust.
Mini Wreath Market | 3pm – 4pm
Floral Gallery will be selling beautiful Christmas wreaths, wreath-making kits and offering demos for anyone who wants to get creative this festive season by making their own.
Festive Fun at Bow Butterfly | 1pm – 6pm
Visit Bow Butterfly for a festive celebration with Prosecco, Mulled Wine, delicious Cupcakes and classic Mince Pies – the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit. Enjoy these treats while entering their FREE raffle with fantastic prizes up for grabs. 1st Prize is a £100 voucher, 2nd Prize is jewellery of your choice worth £50 and 3rd Prize is £30 worth of accessories. Winners will be drawn at 6pm, so don’t miss out on your chance to win!
The Snowman and The Snowdog | 1pm, 2pm, 3pm
Gather the family and head to Church Walk Shopping Centre as the loveable characters from the enchanted winter wonderland animation come to life right here in Caterham Valley. Meet The Snowman™ and his loyal companion The Snowdog and enjoy free photo opportunities.

Crafty Christmas Fabric Giveaway | 2:30pm – 4:30pm
Looking to get crafty this Christmas? C+B By Sharlene is brimming with leftover fabric and they’re gifting them to anyone who loves a bit of DIY magic! Whether you’re sewing, glueing or just letting your imagination run wild, these patches are perfect for your festive creations. Pop in and collect your own fabric scraps and some festive refreshments.
Museum Tours | 1pm – 5pm
For those who love history and culture, visit East Surrey Museum for free guided tours exploring local heritage, followed by delicious mince pies. This event is perfect for all ages and is a great way to celebrate the festive season at the Christmas Spectacular!
Treasure Hunt | 1pm – 4pm
Caterham Valley Library invites you to a free festive treasure hunt packed with fun and excitement! Explore the library and uncover hidden treasures. Children can enjoy collecting stickers and chocolate coins as prizes. A perfect activity for families to celebrate Christmas together.
Christmas Pop Up Shop | 1pm – 5pm
Experience the magic of Christmas at Florence Fortley’s festive pop up! Taking over Helena Fortley, enjoy mince pies and mulled wine while you shop. They are selling a selection of gifts, including candles, homeware and Christmas goodies. Find something special for everyone! *The pop up shop will be open from 11am.
