Caterham Valley has a cauldron of free spooky surprises planned for half term. The hocus pocus is woven around a new Halloween trail that takes families all around our Surrey town. With the help (or hindrance!) of four visiting spooks, your mission is to hunt for vital ingredients needed by Wendy the scatty witch and Wilberforce the wizard to cook up their Halloween super-spell. But they won’t be able to do it without you!

Arsenic and Old Lace by Joseph Kesselring

Originally performed in 1941 and made famous by the film starring Cary Grant, Arsenic and Old Lace was one of the first and funniest comedies of multiple murders, putting black comedy truly back on the theatrical map. It tells the story of two charming and gentle old ladies who poison their lonely, elderly lodgers in order to save them from the sorrows of this world – however, not everybody shares their views!
